Bible Text: “Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of king David, was raised from the dead. This is the good news I preach” (2 Tim. 2: 8, NLT).
The above text is from the Apostle Paul to his son and a pastor, Timothy.
By this statement, Paul sought to convey to Timothy that the fact / knowledge of the resurrection is the foundation of the ministry, the sustainer of the ministry, and the cause of effective ministry. This knowledge is the message of the ministry, the gospel we preach.
Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of king David, was raised from the dead. His resurrection makes Him the unique Savior of the world. The resurrection separates Him from Confucius, the resurrection separates Him from Buddha, it separates Him from Mohammed. In fact, the resurrection separates Jesus from every other religious guru.
His resurrection makes Christianity an exclusive religion even though our resurrected Lord is for all.
He is not a theory but the life-giving Saviour. He is all you need. Jesus is not dead. He is alive forever and gives life to whoever believes in Him and confesses Him as Lord.
To those of us who are born again, always remember that Jesus Christ a descendant of king David was raised from the dead. God raised Him from the dead, for it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him. He is our hope and our glory.
Are you sick in your body? Remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of king David, was raised from the dead. Are you burdened with any load? Remember that Jesus Christ, the descendant of king David was raised from the dead. May the resurrection power heal you! May the resurrection power lift every burden off your shoulders!
Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of king David, was raised from the dead. This is the good news we preach. Because He was raised from dead we shall also be raised at His appearing.
God bless us all. Happy Easter!!
