Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38 (NIV)
Blessings of the day to you. Oftentimes the most basic teachings of Jesus generate the most questions and confusions, simply because basic obedience to the written Word seems so strange to our natural inclinations.
This Christmas, may the Spirit of God work on all of us on the subject of giving in obedience. The Word says to give, and the Lord will take the same container you used to give; pour out a blessing into it; shake it loose to create more room; press it down to create extra room; and pour out more blessings to the point of overflow.
I take Him at His Word. He has never lied.
I commend His instruction to you. Pick a big bowl this year and give from it in the name of Jesus.
May His name be glorified for such precious promises.
