On Thursday 26th September 2024, the PENSA International West Africa Anglophone Bloc, specifically PENSA Nigeria, witnessed a profound miracle that continues to stir hearts and affirm the hand of God in their midst. A team of 14 members, including the National PENSA Leader and the National Youth Leader, embarked on a mission trip to northern Nigeria—a journey that was expected to take approximately eight hours.
However, just three hours into the journey, the unexpected happened. The vehicle carrying the team was involved in a severe accident, leaving the car damaged beyond repair. For many, this could have been a tragic and devastating moment, but God had other plans.
In what can only be described as a divine miracle, every single one of the 14 passengers walked away unharmed. Not a single person was hospitalized, and all members have since returned home safely by the grace of God. This incident serves as a powerful testimony of God’s protection and mercy.
As the PENSA Nigeria team reflects on this event, it is clear that this is truly the doing of the Lord. Their mission to spread the gospel in northern Nigeria remains intact, and their faith is stronger than ever.
This is a reminder that, even in the face of adversity, God is always in control. His grace continues to protect and guide His people.
Psalm 91:1–6 (ESV): 91 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
Help us thank God for his mercies.
