A man without hope

A man without Hope! That was all Adam was when He was banished from the Garden of Eden and had to till the hard ground before he could get something to eat. His wife Eve also had to suffer 9 months of labour just to hear one of her own cry. Their first son Cain was also a murderer so the story still remains that “Men are without Hope” but then came a brother of Nahor who became a friend of Yahweh. Abraham the ungodly man was chosen to start a godly clan. God used him in the Old Testament to exemplify His love towards man when it pleased Him to bruise His hand to establish a New Covenant by offering His son. Just as a ram was caught in a thicket of thorns by its horn even so was The Lamb crowned with thickets of thorns. And Jesus is the lamb that was slain before the earth’s foundation in propitiation for our salvation.

Joseph had 12 brothers, was very much loved by his father but hated by his brothers who sold him into slavery yet lied about His death in all bravery because little did they know that He was that Prime Minister who will come with a delivery that will save them from dying piteously hungry. Jesus also had 12 disciple but was betrayed by Judas his unloyal accountant who preferred silver to a royal acquaintance. His own “brothers” also hated Him and some still don’t believe in Him but this has paved way that we the Gentiles may also be redeem, for now there’s neither Greek nor Jew, bond nor free, neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ.

So while God was drawing Miracles with the hands of Moses, He was actually painting a picture of Jesus. John 3:14-15 says “just as Moses lifted up a serpent in the wilderness even so must the son of man be lifted up that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Christ is also not ushering us from Egypt to Canaan but he will send us to the New Jerusalem and We have come to mount Zion the city of the Most High, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of Angel, to the general assembly, to the church of the first born whose name are written in heaven. To God Almighty, the judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect and to Jesus Christ the mediator of the new covenant, to blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

And most importantly Christ has not brought us commandment but He has brought us a life which is to live in His Grace. All the Prophets did speak of His coming, Isaiah said He is Immanuel (God with us), David said a King will come and establish His Kingdom and Daniel also said His reign will be everlasting.

Jesus indeed came proclaiming deliverance to the captive, healing people of their infirmities, casting out demons and preaching the Gospel to the poor but Christ’s main work was on the cross so that our guilt and failings will be crossed, He wore a crown of thorns so that we will no longer be scorned, He died on the tree so that God will hear our plea. He died that we may live and He has resurrected and still lives. Jesus fell as a seed yet He has resurrected with us as a tree and He is the True vine and we are the branches.

In order not to bore you with words I will summarize by saying Christ was predestined to come, He came and He is coming. He is coming to take His church with rapture and them that had die will attain resurrection from the dead and be captured up with Him in the air and we shall be forever.

If all I have said are true then please be ready for Him when He comes.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!
